Government In My Daily Life
There are many ways that the Government affects my daily life, but they are usually not paid much attention. These are things that have become normal, and apart of our life.
The most common way that Government affects my life is through the laws and regulations that are applied to our life, for example, speed limits and other driving laws. With out these laws I honestly feel that life would be much more chaotic, its almost impossible to imagine a world where there was no rules for the road. There would be much more accidents, and it wouldn't be safe at all on the road.
Another way that Government affects my life is through associations that make rules for our life. Such as the Food and Drug Association, which makes regulations to do with the food I eat, and the medicine I take daily. Without such an organization I wouldn't be so sure that what I eat and take is safe for me. This association makes rules that help keep me safe.
Another way would be through road systems. If there was no government there probably wouldn't be any road systems, or even public transportation. It would be much harder to get around, and much more chaotic. Without road systems I wouldn't be able to drive to school or drive to get food or even to an airport. And for those less fortunate than me that use public transportation there would be no way for them to get around.
If there wasn't Government there would be no labor laws. There would be no laws that would say how many hours its legal to work. There also would be no laws to do with legal minimum wage. This would affect many people including myself. There would be no rules, so employers could offer any salaries, starting at 1cent an hour. This would result in a much lower economy.
Another way that the Government affects my life is through services that it either provides or controls for the public. Without Government there probably wouldn't be any electric, telephone or water...
