Kid Couch Potatoes
“The average child in the United States spends about 25 hours a week in from of the television…” (Miller). It seems the American society is becoming used to this disgusting fact. It is so easy for a parent to set a child in front of the idiot box while going to do something more meaningful. This child sits there wasting away like a grape in the sun, only to be turned into a withered raisin. Through this withering and robotic watching of the television the child learns that snacks go well with television, thus comes obesity. Suddenly going outside to bask in the sunlight isn’t as appealing as watching a Dragonball Z episode. And who needs to socialize when Johnny Bravo can teach you all you need to know about woman? So there our kids sit because we are just too busy to entertain them right now.
