... To die with dignity, rather than to die a slow, excruciatingly painful, helplessly, “bad” death is what they’ve took into consideration and therefore legalized. But by legalizing such a thing you are in actuality permitting the act of murder, since, whichever way you look upon it someone’s dieing by the means of another person, rather than the means of natural death. ... Meaning that if death is the best benefactor out of all the possible outcomes it is a moral decision to go about. ... The extremes being; 1) the patient taking it upon himself to rid himself of his life using questionable methods which often my not result in death, 2) the patient going through several months of agonizing torture while trying to pro-long his life to its highest expectancy possible. ... The idea of watching someone who I love dearly in a state of excruciating pain where death is the only relief would almost feel as if one were shooting a bullet through my heart. It would really kill me to see them die such a bad death.
