Lord of the Flies Symbols

Lord of The Flies Paragraphs The Scar- the scar is the place where the airplane crashed on the island. It plowed through the thick jungle, creating an area of chopped-down trees and shrubs. This is the place where Piggy and Ralph first met. Piggy introduced himself and became Ralph's companion. Close to the scar is the pool that Ralph and Piggy find the conch in. The scar symbolizes a wound caused by mankind upon an untouched natural island. The Beach- after Ralph and Piggy found the conch in a pool, Piggy told Ralph what it was and it's possibilities for noise. Ralph blew this, and soon many people showed up. The meeting place was formed where Ralph first blew the conch, which was right next to the lagoon.
