... The struggle between chauvinistic whites and under-estimated African Americans is one that seems never-ending and result in H.E.C. limitations. The question that comes to mind is what the heck are H.E.C. limitations? They are housing, educational, and career limitations brought onto the Afro-Americans, just because they are black. Housing limitations are evident in many different instances and cause many disturbances. ... This limits the Afro-Americans because they fear that if they move into a white neighborhood, then they too will be bombed like the unfortunate family in the newspaper. ... Also, the scholarships are meant mostly for whites and considering that the majority of African Americans need the scholarship money, limit the number of Blacks that are even able to go to college. ... Career limitations are among the last major results of prejudice. ... This can be interpreted as Rutherford (a representation of the Afro-Americans in general) was predestined to steal and could never hold down a good job. ... Also, the prejudices of whites made the African tribes, such as the Allmuseri, have limited ways to live: be a slave…and that’s it. ... It is very important to remember what the heck H.E.C. limitations are so that more and more people will stop prejudice and eventually the America will be a free and equal country.
