In our daily lives, faith is an essential element to many individualˇ¦s achievements, yet faith could be easily vanished by adversities in our lives. ... Eliezer shows us that the change of faith brings out best and the worse of human nature. The faith which Eliezer believed was changed throughout the novel; it is the result of the tragic environment and him. The author shows us that faith could be changed by the surroundings. In the beginning of the novel Eliezer was a twelve year old boy, his faith in God was absolute. Under the atrocities in the concentration camp, peopleˇ¦s faith was shaken by the fear of death; moreover faith was completely lost for many prisoners.
