Defending the Black Community
Racial consciousness alone is not enough to win freedom in the modern world! Standing up for our rights and defending our heritage is essential to our livelihood! Our culture has been profusely disadvantaged in this society; from slavery to fighting wars to defend the rights we aren't even afforded. The African Blood Brotherhood (ABB) is dedicated to armed resistance to lynching, opposition to all forms of racial discrimination, and voting rights for black Southerners, in addition, the ABB opposes American participation in WWI. Racism and discrimination will not end by blacks leaving the country; we need to stand up for what is rightfully ours and protect the heritage and culture soaked into the American ground by our scarlet blood!
The white people of the United States have promised us freedom, protection, and a way of life-this promise has been broken one too many times, our lives have been threatened, our opportunities for advancement denied, and the hatred inflicted upon us intensifies the strain among the African American and white communities. After defending our country and losing our lives we are welcomed back with race riots and violent protests. Showing our weakness by not sticking together only abates our chances of rising to the top. With the help of my magazine the "Crusader," we can make the public aware of the wrongs we are faced with daily. Fleeing the country to hide from the misfortunes is no an effective means to solving our problems. Running away heightens the consequences not make them disappear. Individuals such as Marcus Garvey feel the ABB is trying to smash government and destroy capital, but I am here to tell you that the ABB does not oppose government in principle we just oppose imperialist government.
