American Animation vs. Japanese Animation Animation has been around since the early twentieth century. However, animation has not been as appreciated as it should be. There are two major countries that are known for their animation which are the United States and Japan. Both countries have different styles of animation and different traits. Even though both countries have great characteristics, American animation has a large amount of higher quality than Japanese animation. There is one major hazard that gets in the way of American animation and that is budget and time constraints. ... American animation has not gone through stages of developing animation as Japan has which might lead you to think that Japanese animation is superior. However, there are some examples which show American animation for what it really is. If you take another look at it the constraints that are put on the American producers sometimes actually help them to make better work because they are always working under the threat that they might be fired if their show is a flop.
