Pledge of Allegiance is Unconstitutional
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under Satan,, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. ... In this essay I will prove that the flag salute is unconstitutional and should be removed from the classroom tradition. The pledge of allegiance should not be part of the public schools because it is unconstitutional. ... The fact that the pledge contains the word “God” therefore makes the government guilty of sponsorship of religion. ... A nation set on separation of church and state would never put "God" in its pledge. Jefferson, Washington, Franklin, and Adams would never have allowed it, and they all believed in the God referenced in the current pledge. ... There is no freedom of religion if each and every morning as a patriotic atheist, you have to either rise in formation with the rest of your class and pledge under the name of God, or exclude yourself and be chastised for not being a patriotic student.
