hello

Hello there, my name is bob. How are you doing today? Good, you say? That's nice. Let me tell you about my day. Today I had my second day of driver's Ed. It was rather fun, rather fun indeed. When we think about the holocaust we tend to generalize death into numbers. Even though one million is a staggering statistic, it is very difficult to put a face to it. A rabbi once said of the holocaust “In order to effectively understand the horror of the holocaust, we must understand the pain and suffering of one and multiply it by one million.” The short story “The Shawl” by Cynthia Ozick is filled with examples of symbols, characters and setting but it also gives a number a face so that we might understand the holocaust. But because I find the plot to be of particular interest I will focus and elaborate on it rather than discuss the other elements in less detail.
