pheonix

A saying goes “ you never understand what you have until you have lost it”. This lesson my great grand father learnt after he bargained with one of my families priced painting. Although he got it back, it was at a great cost. The painting is of a phoenix-titled immortality by Baal Peracin. The phoenix a beautiful lone firen bird. Which leaves in the Arabian dessert for five hundred to six hundred years, and then sets itself on fire, rising renewed from the ashes to start another life symbolizes immortality, resurrection and life after death. In ancient Greek and Egyptian mythology, it is associated with the sun god.
