Affluenza Essay- Materialism
Affluenza can be defined as: The bloated, sluggish and unfulfilled feeling that results from efforts to keep up with the Joneses. 2. An epidemic of stress, overwork, waste and indebtedness caused by dogged pursuit of the American Dream. 3. An unsustainable addiction to economic growth. All these definitions are correct, and one common problem that ties into Affluenza is materialism. Materialism seems to take over people's lives nowadays, and they don't have the willpower to just say no, this is enough.
Materialism has become a common problem amongst people of all ages, we are common amongst all people in the same world and we don't know which was to go on the path of life. Which way shall we go? I don't know. Affluenza is a big problem amongst everyone in the whole wide world. I don't even know when is what the last time I bought good food just for me Irene and myself. Irene is my pet dog by the way. She is a collie. Do you know what that is? It is a lassie dog. Do you know what lassie is? It is a collie dog. They are the best dogs in the whole world. I love them like they are my own. This essay is originally supposed to be about materialism but I feel that I don;t really want to do an essay on materialism anymore. It does not make sense to me or whatever. Do you understand? I dont believe that I do.
