War; it’s the deadly word in peoples minds that rings over and over again haunting those like Elie Wiesel, a Jew, and Pierre Seel, a homosexual, who have experienced many similarities and differences in the fight to stay alive against genocide in the Holocaust. ... Sadly enough this repulsive man gained the power to destroy many lives including the one of Elie Wiesel and Pierre Seel. The experiences of Holocaust had changed Elie Wiesel’s life forever. ... At moments Elie Wiesel was so tired and weak as he was running that he just thought how good death must be at that moment, not feeling any pain or suffering (Wiesel, 82). ... A difference is that Elie Wiesel experienced this pain and suffering with someone he loved, his father, who helped him get through life and was his only motivation.
