There are several arguments in which, in my opinion, Descartes contradicts himself like when he says that without God nothing can ever be perfectly known and that all things clearly perceived are true. ... Descartes says that God must exist because he must exist. ... Therefore since Descartes exist and for him to exist perfection is necessary then God must exist for this Perfection. ... Descartes emphasizes that it is a process of necessity whether or not Descartes ever had the thought of God. ... Descartes never said or proofed that perfection exists, so can he said that God exists because something he has not yet proven to exist, as perfection, exists? When Descartes says: And so long as I attend to its demonstration I cannot help believing this to be true…I may occasionally be mistaken about those things I believed I perceived most evidentially…which other arguments have subsequently led me to judge to be false.
