Dirty Politics
On a never ending search for the history and examples of dirty politics, I was met with an epiphany. No matter how hard I searched, I could not find a rock solid example of dirty politics. Now, some may argue that the Watergate scandle is the epitome of dirty politics. ... So this led me to a new question; what are dirty politics? ... I came up with the idea that, when compared to the ethically and morally correct values and choices of true politics, every political move that has ever taken place in our grand country has been tainted, or dirty, in some way. So does this mean that every politician practices dirty politics? ... But since it has become such common practice to use dirty tactics, some call them loopholes, the public and politicians alike have become accustomed to putting up with some things. So this would lead us to believe that dirty politics are instantly morphed into regular politics, and the day goes on. ... There is no such thing as dirty politics, only dirty politicians. ... As earlier mentioned, the Watergate scandal has got the be the epitome of dirty politics in any interested Americans mind. Ask any run of the mill Joe and he will tell you that dirty politics is the Clinton scandal, and Roswell. ... Much like the coveted If a tree falls idiom, if you dont see the dirty politics, do they happen? And furthermore, if the same dirty policies affect you in a positive way, do you care?
