A sociological analysis of “The Quickening”
“The Quickening” by Michael Bishop illustrates what might happen if all the cultures in the world were suddenly mixed together. Using the study of sociobiology and other aspects of culture and interpreting them into the story, we can get a better understanding of how and why the people responded in the way that they did. In the beginning of the story, there was a kind of a mega culture shock.
