Databases Used Within My Organization Databases are an essential part of an organization’s Information Management System and the value placed on their existence and usage is very high as will be seen throughout the paper. ... My organization is very large therefore it chooses to use several databases (Microsoft Access, Oracle & VISION-a proprietary database) to store information. It would be very hard to run a successful organization such as Verizon Wireless without the usage of databases. There is so much information that has to be managed thus the need for several databases. Two main databases used within my organization are Microsoft Access and Oracle because they are able to perform the necessary functions required for managing the huge amount of information that has to be stored. ...
