A big problem that has faced the world and nuclear industry for years is
what to do with nuclear waste. The handling of radioactive waste is a hotly
debated topic in our society and government today. ... Since nuclear
energy does play an important role in our society, researchers will always be
seeking ways to improve the methods in which we dispose of radioactive
waste.
Currently, the ways in which radioactive waste is disposed, depends upon
its chemical state. The more dangerous the form of waste, the degree of
disposal intensifies.
