Logic and Thinking
In her writings “On the Relation Between Logic and Thinking,” Henle contemplates the issue of whether logic is the thinking process or whether it is only normatively related to the process of thinking. Starting from the fact that people tend to prefer “empirically reasonable propositions to logical ones,” she explains the occurrences of “errors” in the thinking process. ... ” She is implying that in the thinking process the logic is accounted for by the reason. ... ” Therefore, according to this theory, the process of thinking is not what results on different answers at the end of the day. ... After having made sure of that, according to this theory it would have been OK to let us study on our own, since the students should do the actual thinking process on their own.
