KUNA candidate speech for Secretary General

Hi, my name is Kevin Havelda, and I’m running for the position of Secretary General of KUNA. I have wanted to be Secretary General since my first KUNA back in the 7th grade… (tear out paper and throw away while shaking head disapprovingly) No, scratch that, that was starting off way too generic and conventional. ... Here would be the point in a regular speech where one would probably brag about credentials. ... If you really want to know what grades I make, or all the clubs I busy myself in, look at my candidate sketch sometime after the speeches are finished. ... And call me crazy, but I firmly believe that by attaining the position of Secretary General, I will change the world. ... When I go back to my first KUNA, when I was the unsure, impressionable 7th grader I was, if I were to tell that scrawny kid that he would one day be reciting these ambitions beofre one of the most respectable gatherings of delegates in the nation, relating his ambitions to change the globe, he would laugh. ... As your Secretary General for next year, that is my conviction, that together, we will make it the most lucid dream of the ages.
