Juvenile Crime Almost every day we hear it in the news "Another juvenile has comitted a crime." Why has juvenile deliquency increased in the last couple of years? ... at the age of thirty does one crime, and the other person at the age of fourteen does the same crime, they shouldnt be perceived or tried as equal. ... The case of Nathaniel Abrams, a juvenile who comitted a crime of murder in 1997 when he was 11 years old in the state of Michigan; was the case of youngest person tried as an adult. He was sentenced to detention to a juvenile facility until the age of 21 when he will be realased. The judge didnt accept the prosecution request for delayed sentence and made a very interesting comment after the ruling “The legislature has responded to juvenile criminal activity not by helping to prevent and rehabilitate, but rather by treating juveniles more like adults.
