The most obvious reason for cheating on exams is probably lack of studying. Many students simply do not feel the need to study for exams. They do not foresee being obligated to know the information for future endeavors; as long as they can copy the answers from other’s papers, they continually ask the question, “Why shouldn’t I cheat? ... By not studying, students who wish to do well on exams are compelled to cheat.
Students feel pressure to do well in their academics; pressure comes from family members, professors, and even coaches. Constant reminders of high expectations can make students feel anxious about taking tests. ...
