Epic Hero Representation
Beowulf is an epic poem about a great hero who risks his own life to save many from the murderous hands of a monster. An epic hero is the person in an epic who risks their necks for the good of all the members he/she is trying to protect. Beowulf adequately represents himself as an epic hero in the epic named after him. Beowulf meets the criteria of an epic hero because he is glorified by his people and is ethical in his behavior. ... Two other characteristics of an epic hero that Beowulf displays are the facts that he risks his life for the greater good of society and he has super-human courage.
