Realism came as quite a shock to society in the late 19th century. A new world was being touched upon and everyone from painters to musicians were finding new ways to make realism there language of expression. Realism, in art and literature, is an attempt to describe human behavior and surroundings or to represent figures and objects exactly as they act or appear in life. ...
