Old Testament If I had to explain the Old Testament to St. Peter before entering the pearly gates, I would start with what I have learned in this class. The Old Testament has three main sections, called the Law, the Prophets, and the Writing. The Law consists of the five Books of Moses; Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.
