... Practically every major European power was arduously involved in the new crave, exploration, and every country dreamed of discovering their very own rich land. However, before the new world was even known by Europeans, other inhabitants already lived there. Native Americans had inhabited the land for years, and had their own culture, beliefs, and way of life. ... Both of these types of people, though timelessly linked by the abuse they both endured from European settlers, shared various differences and similarities even before European contact. ... As far as the social and political organization of these early Native American tribes is concerned, family was generally the focus point of it all. ... However, though the land these people lived on may have been far away and rather different, multiple similarities exist between Native Americans and the black Africans of the time.
