Before reading “Arranging a marriage in India” by Serena Nanda, I was kind of familiar with the concept of an arranged marriage. But reading this article introduced me to some new aspects of this concept that completely changed what I had in mind about an arranged marriage before. ... I think it is a reasonable factor that must be considered in a marriage whether it’s arranged or unarranged because usually the difference in social classes leads to problems that are inevitable.
