MAking a Change in the TEST
Dear editor, January 17, 2002 I have had my license for a year and a half and noticed that the test I pass really does not test the daily skills a driver needs. ... Instead of taking the driving test in places where few cars travel, drivers should be taken into the “real world” called traffic. ... Taking the driving test on the protected areas makes it easier to pass the test since there are not really any realistic situations to be exposed to. I demand a change in the license-testing procedures to improve driver safety and for drivers to be more exposed to driving, instead of the simple things.
