Thomas Kinkade

William Thomas Kinkade was born January 19th, 1958 in Sacramento, California. He calls Pacervill, a nearby town to Sacramento, his hometwn. He is the Son of Bill and Mary Anne Kinkade. Ther are hidden N's in each of Thom's paintings. The "N" stands for Thom's lovely wife Nanette and the numbr of N's in each painting are indicated below the signature n the lower left or right corner. Thom's studio is called "Ivy Gate". Thom and Nanette have four daughters (oldest to youngest) Merritt born 6/14/1988, Chandler born 3/8/1991, Winsor brn 4/26/1995, and Everett born 6/18/1997. All of the girl's middle name's are Christian. Thom is the most published living artist ever. Thom attened the Uniersity of Caifornia at Berkeley and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Thom wrked on an animaed fil entitled, fire and Ice in which he created over 600 background paintings for the movie. His first publised book, "The Artist Guide to Sketching" describes his travels with his riend James Gurney (creator of the Dinotopia book series). They sketched as they traveled the country hitching rides in boxcars. Durning his early college years, homa did a comic strip and editoral illustrations for the Daily California Newspaper. Some of the many artists that have influenced Thom are: Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema, charles Bell, Albert bierstadt, Frederic Edwin Church, Thomas Cole, Jean-Baptiste-Camillo Corot, Currier and Ives, Casper David Friedrich, Thomas Hill, Deward Hopper, John Koeh, Thomas Moran, Maxfield Parrish, Edgar Payne, Pablo Picasso, howad Pyle, Rembrandt, Norman Rockwel, Ivan Shishkin, Joaquin Sorolla Y Bastida, Joseph Mallard William Turner, Jan Vermeer and Glenn Wessles.
