REVISED BLUEPRINT EDUPAD The Concept: Modifying our previous idea, we could target students by designing a device specifically meant for them. This device would allow them to work on assignments, access the internet, search databases etc. from within school. They would also be able to complete assignments offline (at home, on the bus, etc). There are, understandably, many issues surrounding this idea. These we will try to address later in this document. The rest of the plan will as previously. This will include the “bring your apps and data anywhere” concept and the “access anywhere” concept. Fleshing it out: This product involves either modifying or designing an internet pad (e.g. FIC’s AquaPAD) and modifying the software to run Windows Terminal Services (WTS) with interface and security enhancements (proprietary). The primary concepts governing the designing of this PAD will be robustness and reliability.
