Dinner for Three The story takes place in Erica and Patty’s apartment, at the dinner table, where they are eating with Saul. The mother and Saul are trying to make it a funny dinner. Patty is the daughter, she is 15 years old, and still loves her father. The Mother Erica is in her mid-30s and wants to find a new man, because Patty’s father has run away to California, with a younger girl. Saul is forty-two and the new man in Erica’s life is a well known painter, who grew op in the Lower East Side in London.
