Advice for the upcoming midterm exam: Start by reviewing course notes, web sites, and Boardman readings. Then: try to make sure you know the following monuments or sites. For the identifications, you will be asked a few questions per slide, with ten slides selected from images you have seen in class which are also in your textbook by Boardman and/or on the web sites under the course calendar. Then you will write one essay. This test covers the Geometric, Orientalizing, Archaic, Classical and Hellenistic periods.
