Rich Dad Poor Dad Summary
UNSOLVED MYSTERY The scandalous mystery of Jack the Ripper has plagued many people for over a century. It is full of unanswered questions that will remain that way for all time. Since the killings there has been an ever-growing mountain of books, documentation, and a plethora of theories produced and announced. The fact that the true story will never be known drives the many interested to explore the details of this dark enigma even harder. The series of murders committed by Jack the Ripper occurred in the 1980's in the East End of London in a district known as Whitechapel. During that time the East End was a very hard place to live.(Uncensored 13) Living conditions were beyond horrible by today's standards. Immigrants, particularly Eastern European Jews, flocked to this part of London to escape the persecution of their homes. This resulted in an overcrowded, dirty district where unemployment ran rampant and people fought to live. Those lucky enough to find housing were crammed into crowded, dirty, primitive accommodations. The rest wandered homeless throughout the streets of Whitechapel living theirs lives one day at a time.(The Cases 22,23) Needless to say infant mortality was extremely high (most likely due to the atrocious living and health conditions). Then, if one was lucky enough to make it through the first year of life, childhood was full of dangers as well.(Uncensored 13) After spending seven years in this place where crime ran rampant and death was common (often going unnoticed), the adventure novelist, Jack London, nicknamed it "the Abyss".(The Cases 22) It is no wonder that Jack the Ripper chose this hell hole to terrorize.
