The War Of The Worlds By Shayne Hoff The book The War of the Worlds by H. G. Wells happens in a small town in England. One night a “meteorite” crashes into a small field just outside of town. Ogilvy, an astronomer, notices it and goes to investigate. He finds that it is a cylinder. He doesn’t know that it is an alien craft so he runs into town telling everyone and then goes to Wells and tells him.
