acceptance for nyu
When I was about a year old my parents sent my brother and I to live in Barbados with my grandparents. My father is from Barbados, and my parents wanted me to experience a Caribbean upbringing, which they believed would be safer than growing up in New York City. I lived there for four years and every weekend my parents would call me. Every holiday my father and mother would visit me. I looked forward to the holidays and spending time with my father.
