England would never say Yes to the Euro Do you agree
The Euro was introduced to Germay in January 2002. So I had to pay for everything with Euros until I eventually left Germany in September 2002 and came to England. I was always wondering, why England didnt accept the Euro? ... Ive found lots of impressions like "The Euro is the economic version of "Frankenstein", because it equals trying to make new life out of old bodyparts" (Financial Times London), or "For English people the Euro sign "€" seems to look like an opened mouth of a shark with two teeth in it." (A german author) Tony Blairs statement was: "We think about the Euro, as you think about making war in Afghanistan".
