Opera first appeared in the early baroque era. music was composed be Johan Sebastian Bach, George Fredric Handle, and Antio Vivaldi. Cludio Montevedi, was a great composer who helped the baroque era. Monteverdi wrote the first operas of the baroque period, but was a master of many other forms of music. Many of his compositions rank as Masterpieces. His operas rank as some of the finest ever written.
