A great many people think that the prophecy of the Anti-Christ is that of a single individual indwelt by Satan, or perhaps a world leader or politician who is able to deceive many people by his cunning. The prophecy of the Anti-Christ is quite possibly the most unknown prophecy in all of Christendom.
The word Anti-Christ is translated from the Greek word “anti-christos”, and it literally means, one who denies or opposes Christ. Specifically, it means a great antagonist expected to fill the world with wickedness which will be conquered forever by Christ at his second coming. The Anti-Christ also means a false Christ.
The Anti-Christ has many names: “The Beast”, “The Son of Perdition”, “The Man of Sin”, “The Lawless One”, “The Little Horn”, “The Wicked One”, and “The Turban Head”. Maitreya is the name visionaries have said is the Anti-Christ.
