Reading Response to Kate Chopin s The Strom

A new notion came to my soul and gave me a big impulse after reading Kate Chopin’s “The Strom.” In “The Storm,” Kate Chopin makes the readers be aware of the extra-matrimony and the subjectivity of female sexuality. ... However, as to Kate Chopin, she seems to advocate this behavior. For example, form the last sentence, “So the storm passed and every one was happy” (Chopin 17), Chopin obviously makes the story end up in a peaceful and perfect condition, despite the extra-marital affair between Calixta and Alcée.
