ACTING

This paper will outline the required preparation job description, advantages, and necessary personal characteristics, that relate to a career in acting.

One of the main reasons that I choose acting as my career subject title was because I love to express myself. Acting gives me the chance to open up, to be someone else, and to do what I love, perform in front of people. Whether it be making them laugh, cry, or be scared, once I have given them one of those emotions I know that I have done my job successfully.
There are many different definitions of what an actor really is. The true job description of an actor is as follows: An actor studies the scenario to learn the type of play, he then studies the assigned role and memorizes the lines and cues. He must practice different types of expressions, emotions and behavior associated with each movement of action. He must practice voice imitations suitable for the character as well as walk stance and general bearing. He rehearses with other actors and actresses the scenes of a play until the performance is satisfactory to the actor as well as the director.
Sometimes aspiring actors wonder "What training do I need?" The answers are quite simple. One of the most essential training techniques is to audition for High School plays and small theater productions. You can also work as an extra, who knows, the director might see something in you that would work perfect for a certain character that the director is looking for a person to cast. There are certain courses that an aspiring actor can take. For instance liberal arts, speech, pantomime, or history of playwright. All of these items are not exactly mandatory but are very essential in learning the correct and incorrect ways to be an actor or an actress.
