Limit on Immigration in the United States

The United States is a nation consisting of many individuals coming from different backgrounds, cultures, and races. Unlike many other parts of the world, where the general population tends to look and act the same way, the United States strives on multiformity. ... However, the concept of this multiformity would not be possible without immigration, which can also have its downsides, such as the arising of nativism, overcrowding in cities, and falling job wages. This is why it becomes necessary to limit the influx of immigrants into the United States. ... This concept, called nativism, creates a moral question: If the United States is truly unified and brings people of all different backgrounds together as Americans, is it then fair for certain people to stay loyal to their own individual backgrounds or should they be forced to change their loyalty to the United States?
