Can evil breeding evil lead to ruin? The play Hamlet written by William Shakespeare has many themes and one very central theme is that of evil. The theme of evil is portrayed through the actions of the characters within the play. All evil actions in Hamlet are the results of a response to a prior evil action. The death of King Hamlet, followed by the appearance of the ghost and finally Claudiusˇ¦ inability to decide goodness for Denmark are all the result of evil breeding evil, which in the end leads to the destruction in many of the characters and the loss of their kingdom.
