Abortion A Big Dilema
Abortion has been one of the most discussed subjects in the last several years. There is a great amount of people that are against abortion and the quantity of persons that are in favor are a smaller amount than the one that are against it. However, the amount of persons that are in favor have been increasing. There have been many difficulties with the laws in various countries because of this controversy; this is why we say that abortion challenges the morality of the human race.
People that are in favor of abortion think that it should be legalized at least under some circumstances such as rape. Their arguments are: Why does a woman have to give birth to a child who is the product of a rape? In the United States, the validation of abortion started in 1966 when Mississippi passed a law permitting abortion in cases of rape. In the following four years, other states expanded the use of abortion to include cases in which a pregnancy threatens a woman's health, the fetus has serious abnormalities, or the pregnancy is the result of incest (sexual intercourse between close relatives). "In early 1973 the Supreme Court of the United States decided two cases, Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, that effectively legalized abortion for any reason before the 24th week of pregnancy, the point when states to enact laws restricting abortion after viability, except in cases when abortion is necessary the fetus becomes viable. The law allowed individuals to preserve the life or health of the woman. " Here we are able to see some of the reasons why abortion was legalized.
If the woman was raped, the child will remind her for the rest of her life of that horrible moment she went through. This may be a good enough reason for the mother to not love the child.
