The character I choose is Ingrid Magnussen from the book and movie White Oleander. Ingrid is artistic, selfish, a lover of revenge, and independent; a free spirit that hates being tied down by obligations. To me, Ingrid is selfish because of the way she treats her daughter Astrid. Ingrid controlled everything Astrid did, and even tried to make her think and act how she wanted her to.
