Most of these young men and women have to keep up with their schoolwork, while at the same time, holding down a job to support the heavy financial burdens of attending a college or university. ... And even the people that do want to work are not going to make it very long if they bring their stress for school into the workplace. To keep their jobs, students are expected to fulfill their employment responsibilities without letting their studies interfere. ... As far as the clothes go, students could always pick them up cheap at Goodwill or just make due with what they have, but there is no getting out of the books. Every now and then it might be possible to pick one up from a friend that has already taken the class, but nine times out of ten, they are going to get stuck with steep book prices.
