Charles Dickens 2
Charles John Huffam Dickens is one of the most popular and greatest English novelists of all time, but he was once recognized as a great Victorian novelist. By creating some of the most famous characters in English Literature, he also creates scenes and descriptions of places that his readers will not soon forget. He has a great understanding for young people and towards humanity. Standing up for what he believes, he sympathizes and assists poor and helpless children, but in doing so, mocked and criticized the selfish, the greedy and the cruel. Dickens was born on February 7, 1812 in Portsmouth, England.
