When you look at China you see a less developed country, with a very large population, and a very poor country. China’s 1997 per capia gross national product is $860, making it placed in the lowest twenty-five percentile of all countries of this world. What no one can take away from China is the fact that they are one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. They have expanded on the average 11.6% annually. (4,61) Yet still China is still considered one of the world’s less developed countries. That is one of China’s biggest problems, they have so many people living in such a condensed place, but they still have a booming economy. China is trying to be admitted into the WTO. Which stands for the World Trade Organization. The World Trade Organization feels that China would not be well represented in the WTO, and would not be a good asset to the Organization. The argument between China can go either way. You can argue that they should be admitted into the WTO. Or you could say that they do not have what it takes to be in, or that they do not have the qualification
