"We desereve better!" That's what everybody was keeping in their minds, while making such a tremendous choice. Tremendous because new party chosen by them might and will change the whole situation of the country; in its policy policy, community, and society. Tremendous, because theis party might change the relations, the unity the country. The country that has one of the biggest roles in this "games" between the huge nations where the 'players" are not so many. The country, that is being viewed as the "capital" of the EU. The country that keeps two nations states in a peaceful unity. So, will the new party, be able to control all these features, to keep them so that one do net negotiate with another, and will these party be able to keep previously done advantaged decisions and changes by another party (Conservatives), and eliminate disadvantaged ones.

By seeing and bearing those disadvantages of the Conservatives, putting some changes into Labour system and making modernized for the modern society Labour Party went into the 1997 election campaign determined to avoid the fifth consecutive generel election defeat.
