"War Speech"

As a maturing citizen of the United States of America, and one that will be soon voting in upcoming presidential elections, I feel that the president's decision to go to war in Iraq is an unreasonable solution to a problem that doesn't even exist. I do not say this to degrade the president, but to get the attention of those who are undecided as to what to think about this conflict.

I oppose to this war because I feel that we, as a nation, do not have a good enough reason to invade Sadam Hussein's regime. I feel that the resolution passed by congress a choice of bad judgment, which was only the decision to make an action to check another action beforehand. I also feel that the overly repeated excuse that Iraq and Hussein are aiding and hiding Alqaeda and terrorist responsible for the 9/11 incident, is a lame one because this idea hasn't been proven.

I believe that a war with Iraq would only put ours nations people at risk, and could also cause economic problems. To start, the invasion of Iraq itself has already costs millions and billions of taxpayers money. I honestly feel that the U.S. government should just send an assassin into Iraq to kill Sadam Hussein, and then we should try to rebuild the Iraq's economy and government. This solution would not only cost less, but it would also give our country more time to repair Iraq.

I feel that the U.S. government should have taken small steps to overcome this obstacle, and we should have been looking for a new strong Iraqi leader who is willing to carry on with a democratic nation, which would become the new and improved Iraq. Instead, president bush has made the decision to invade Iraq, which would guarantee the loss of many American lives. This was not at all a good decision and I feel that it is immoral, that is why I oppose the war.
