A New Life
Josh Hampton is a sixteen-old honor student that never got less then
an A in school. His dad Bob Hampton and his mom Rachel Hampton all visit a church
frequently. On the way home from a church activity one night, his dad was driving, his
mom in the passenger's seat, and he in the back., They were driving down a dark and
gloomy road and all of a sudden a deer ran right out in front of the car.
Josh's dad tried to stop but it was too late. He hit the deer and the car went crazy and started doing three-sixties. Then the car stopped and Josh got out of the destroyed car. As he got out, he saw something moving on the hood of the car. He walked closer to see what it was. He began to recognize what it was, it was the deer that his dad had hit.
He heard noises coming from the drivers side, he runs over to help his dad out of the
car.
They both run over to see if his mom is ok. They open the door and see the deer's
hooves piercing her skin. When the ambulance arrived it was too late. Josh's mom had
passed away. After that Josh's grades began to fall and so did his walk with God. He
started to hang out with the wrong crowd and got into trouble.
On the other hand his dad Bob stayed strong in the lord and prayed for his son
everyday to become a christian again. Then one day, when Josh's dad was at work, he
received a phone call from the school saying if Josh doesn't straighten up they are going
to suspend him. Josh started to do drugs starting with smoking weed and worked his way
up. His dad decided to talk to him about life and how its so precious.
"Son, what's your plan in life? What are you going to be when you grow up?" said Bob.
"I don't know, we will see when the time comes."
